Featuring a Costa Rican Coffee Tour in the Central Valley, a Costa Rican eco-cultural excursion,
and a visit to Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs

DAY 01: SAN JOSÉ
After arrival at the airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your San Jose hotel.  Take the rest of the day to explore Costa Rica’s capital city. There are many different places to visit; shopping malls, local shops, restaurants, or even casinos.

DAY 02: COSTA RICAN COFFEE TOUR
Join us for a tour at the coffee plantation at Café Britt. Here you will follow the journey of the coffee bean from the farm to the processing plant to a fresh steaming cup of gourmet coffee.  Feel free to pick a few ripe beans or take home some dried beans. After the tour, enjoy your last night in the capital city.

DAY 03: SAN CARLOS AND ARENAL AREA
After an early breakfast, depart for the San Carlos area. In route, pass by Zarcero to visit its famous park full of figurines and to enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch. Finally arrive at La Fortuna, the town famous for the Arenal Volcano. After check-in at your hotel, get ready for a tour to The Butterfly Garden at Eco Center Danaus. Here you will learn about the history of butterflies native to Costa Rica such as, Blue Morpho, Monarch, Owl butterfly, Swallow Tail and many more. You will also see a variety of tropical plants grown in the garden.

DAY 04: LA FORTUNA
In the morning take time to explore the small town of La Fortuna and do some souvenir shopping.  In the afternoon, visit Arenal National Park, where you can see lava flows and forest.  Keep your eyes open for wildlife; it’s not unusual to see monkeys lounging in the trees.  After your guided walk, come with us to Eco-thermals Fortuna Hot Springs.  These hot springs are located in the middle of natural forest and are perfectly harmonized with nature.  Here you find several pools of relaxing hot springs and even a cascading waterfall perfect for a back massage.  This tour includes dinner in the family styled restaurant.

DAY 05: ECO-CULTURAL TOUR IN THE COUNTRYSIDE OF SAN CARLOS
Share with us the culture, traditions, and countryside on unique journey.  The trip starts at Casona Rio Fortuna, where you enjoy a truly Costa Rican cultural experience and the rural way of life.  This tour includes traditional corn tortilla making, cow milking, oxcart rides, and also a wagon ride in which you will get a chance to see the beautiful countryside.  You will also get to meet the owner of a local farm and enjoy a show of local folk dances performed by students of the area.  After this enlightening tour ends, you will get ready for your transfer to San Jose.  This is your last night in Costa Rica.

DAY 06: DEPARTURE FROM SAN JOSE
Transfer to the airport is approximately three hours before your scheduled flight.  We hope you have enjoyed your Costa Rican cultural experience.
