BUS DRIVERS
If you prefer to travel in a more economical way, we suggest you use the shuttle buses, which operate daily to / from the main tourist areas of the country. These buses are more expensive than regular public transport ranging from $25 to $30 each way per person. The cost of your trip can vary with different tour companies as well as on the length of your trip. Since most of the people on board these buses are tourists, one really good advantage of using them is that you don’t need to worry about looking after your stuff. Perfect for the non-adventurous traveler, these buses are more comfortable and safe.

As tour operator, we feel proud to provide you with the information to discover this small country full of an incredible array of diverse scenery and exotic wildlife which offers the perfect blend for adventure and eco-tourism vacations.

DOMESTIC AIRLINES

A well connected country, Costa Rica has a domestic air travel infrastructure that is actually quite strong. Flying is one of the easiest ways to get around in Costa Rica, especially to more remote regions such as the Osa Peninsula, where roads are often just dirt tracks. There are two main airlines in the country that provide not only reasonably priced domestic air travel, but also offer scheduled daily flights.

Sansa and Nature Air regularly operate flights to at least 15 destinations across the country linked from San José. Both of these Costa Rican airlines use a variety of small prop planes that carry between 9 and 25 passengers. With these airlines you can fly not only to major cities like Liberia International Airport or Quepos Domestic Airport, but you can get flights to remote regions such as the Coto 47 Domestic Airport in South Puntarenas or the Barra del Colorado Domestic Airport in Limón. It is important to note that while Sansa operates from the Juan Santamaría International Airport, Nature Air operates out of the domestic Tobias Bolaños Airport in downtown San José.

Nature Air is Central America's premier airline for adventure travel, luxury vacations and eco tours with 74 daily flights to 17 exotic vacation spots in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panamá.

Nature Air offers domestic flights from San Jose to all the major Costa Rican vacation destinations. This includes Tamarindo for fishing, surfing and scuba diving; Quepos for Manuel Antonio National Park; and La Fortuna for the Arenal Volcano. International flights to Granada, Nicaragua, and Bocas del Toro, Panamá are also included.
